Injection Molding Process Engineer

Job Description:

 

The Process Technician is responsible for all aspects of the injection molding department processes

 

Duties to include:

 

  • Responsible for all aspects of the injection molding process including, but not limited to, set-up and tear down, troubleshooting and work flow
  • Responsible for documenting mold change and machine adjustments on mold runs for traceability and reproducibility including troubleshooting and equipment maintenance
  • Makes effective technical decisions and communicates them to engineering, production, and management to support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Work with - including training production personnel to ensure molded components meet requirements and make adjustments as needed
  • Providing molded components in a timely manner to meet production schedules
  • Managing raw mold material to ensure traceability, shelf life, and prevent contamination
  • Work with quality and manufacturing departments to ensure the quality of production and products produced meet company standards
  • Working with outside vendors to develop tooling and fixtures that result in the manufacturing of high quality products
  • Following established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Ensure safe working practices are followed
  • Other duties as assigned by management

ERP Business Data Developer

Location: Pittsburg, KS

Jake’s Fireworks is the largest importer and distributor of consumer class fireworks in the United States. We operate ten distribution centers and over 500 retail stores in all corners of the country. We are headquartered in Pittsburg, KS, USA.

We are seeking a motivated, experienced individual to help maintain and support the data storage systems relevant to our ERP, POS and other mission critical software deployments within the organization, as well as design models and extract data on request and develop and maintain the miscellaneous integrations that tie these systems together.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of our ERP software, Sage X3, and help to develop process workflows, queries, and reports needed by all aspects of the business (finance, sales, warehousing, etc).
  • Develop visual KPI’s for use ERP landing pages.
  • Become an expert and evangelist in our in-house developed POS application (Cloudsent POS) and become the absolute product owner for all data inquiries and interop integrations relevant to this proprietary system.
  • Act as tier 2 support for Cloudsent POS when the support issue involves data retrieval.
  • Coordinate with other business divisions for timely ingestion of mass change data (think pricing updates, emails lists for marketing blasts, etc.)
  • Develop small automation tools and scripts to move data in-between various data platforms as the need arises, or assist the requirements planning and project management aspects for larger scale projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or document equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in a distributed ERP system.  Preference will be given to those candidates with documented experience in Sage X3.
  • Prior experience in the full Elastic Stack (Elastic Search, Kibana, Log Stash)
  • A functional understanding of Apache Cassandra or a similar column store, NoSQL DBMS.
  • An expert level understanding of standard structured query language within traditional relational databases.  You should be able to write marginally complex sql statements on the fly (without the assistance of IDE’s) to answer management’s questions and relay filtered relevant results in table format to them, sometimes in a matter of minutes when requested.
  • Experience in utilizing API libraries for scripting data movements in and out of column stores systems (Cassandra).  You should be comfortable in curl commands, JSON, and utilizing scripting languages to convert JSON strings into usable data arrays within your relevant scripts. 
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Pearl, PHP, etc.) and the ability code automated integrations and small, mostly command line style applications.  You don’t have to an expert software engineer, but you should functional understanding of primary software design concepts and be able to write code in your preferred platform when the need arises. 
  • A functional understanding of Linux based operating systems and cron job management within Linux platforms is a plus. 
  • Excellent communication skills (must be fluent in written and spoken English).
  • Ability to work nights and weekends during heavy seasonal sales periods (primarily around the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve).

IT Support Technician

We are seeking a motivated, experienced individual to help support and maintain our IT infrastructure in our offices, warehouses, and retail stores around the country. This position that will operate at the direction of the primary Network Administrator and in addition directly assist other principal business personnel in all matters related to hardware, software, and communication support relevant to the operations of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports end users in office and in floor operations (warehouse and retail sales floor) with relevant technical assistance for hardware and software.
  • Responsible for physical deployment of IT hardware in the field as needed (coordinating with 3rd party ISP’s for installation, on site rack installations, router / WAP deployment, POE camera installation and deployment, Cat5e terminations, POS systems, VOIP hardware etc.)
  • Maintains a proper inventory of IT related equipment and software in the asset tracking software.
  • Assists the NA in administrating information security standards for end users requesting domain accounts, VPN network access, etc.
  • Assists the NA in administrating an MDM platform for sim provisioning, data bandwidth, and access management for retail POS operations.
  • Assembles, provisions, and delivers retail POS kits to the retail POS manager for use in seasonal retail stores and documents distribution and return path for these kits.
  • Acts as on-site support contact for network administrator when establishing new communication links from corporate to remote sites.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-5 years prior experience supporting a corporate or retail IT environment.
