I have worked in the fireworks industry since 1994 all for Jakes Fireworks. I started by working on the assortment lines and picking up trash after school. When I was 19 I took over as warehouse manager for our Pittsburg facility (back then that was all we had) and did that for 3 years before moving into an office position. My first job in the office was head of invoicing and pricing. In 2000 we expanded Jakes Fireworks and I took on the roll of a salesperson for the first time. Then we wanted to add our first Distribution Center in the south so we started researching the best place to start that endeavor. We settled on Athens, Texas and began to build our warehouse facility in early 2003. I have ran that Distribution Center ever since.

In my years in the industry I have done almost every job and seen lots of different situations both in the wholesale and on the retail end of the business. This by no means makes me an expert but it has taught me that there is almost always a person out there that has had the same problems or experiences and by sitting down and talking with them a person can learn a lot. I have loved all the relationships that I have formed with all of my customers over these past years and look forward to making more relationships in the future.
